Peter Whitcombe has preached an important series of messages concerning
prophesied end-time events that have been & are being fulfilled today exactly as God’s Word has foretold. We need to be aware of these biblical prophecies & of their significance in this present hour.
Jesus says in Luke 12:54–56, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once, ‘A shower is coming.’ And so it happens. And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, ‘There will be scorching heat,’ and it happens. You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of
earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?”

Arthur W. Pink stated: “the nature of Christ's salvation is woefully misrepresented by the present-day
evangelist. He announces a Saviour (who saves people) from Hell rather than a
Saviour (who saves people) from sin. And that is why so many are fatally
deceived, for there are multitudes who wish to escape the Lake of fire who have no desire to be delivered from their carnality and worldliness.” Another writer only identified as “Anonymous” wrote these powerful words: “The cross is the center of everything it means to be a Christian. The cross
stands at the center of our theology, of biblical prophecy, of our purpose, of
our message and our methods.”
Peter Whitcombe preached this series of messages on the finished work of the
Cross of Christ (that sees our old history end with the cross & our new history begin with the resurrection).
Before His death, Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit in His place & His promise of the coming of the Holy Spirit was fulfilled on the Day of
Pentecost. The early Church was empowered & enabled by the Holy Spirit to impact the known world with the gospel of Jesus
Christ, in the demonstration of the Spirit & of His power.
Today, much of the Church seems to understand little about the Person of the
Holy Spirit & His role & seems to be confused about His function in the Church and in our lives. There
is this huge gap between what we read in Scripture about the Holy Spirit & what we see & experience in Church life & in our own lives. We are called to walk "not by might, nor by power, but by the
Spirit" & we must walk in the presence & power of the Holy Spirit if the Church is to be all that Jesus intends for the
Church to be.
