Through group training, personal one-on-one development & evangelism outreaches into the market place, people are being equipped, trained
& released to carry out the Great Commission to "Go into all the world & preach the good news to all creation.” (Mark 16:15).
We have developed a five week training course that now runs on demand & is also available for members of other churches to run. The five sessions
involve learning to overcome our fears, the use of Gospel Tracts & witnessing tools & understanding the principles of sharing our faith in an effective & Biblical manner. Each meeting involves watching interactive DVD’s, participating in discussions, sharing witnessing testimonies, developing “tools for the tool belt” & encouraging one another as we all learn to share our faith & preach the Good News.
Everyone is welcome to join us for weekly evangelism evenings for a time of
encouragement, testimony, DVD inspiration & prayer.
Jesus First has also partnered with Gospel Outreach New Zealand (GO NZ), a local ministry that focuses in providing training to those dedicated
to sharing their faith through New Zealand tailored resources. There are now
twice weekly evangelism outreaches being run in conjunction with GO NZ & several other local churches into the market place. Over 60 different venues
across Auckland, the upper North Island & even Sydney Australia have been visited by an outreach team with the Gospel
being shared or distributed in various ways.
“Do you not say, 'Four months more & then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes & look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest... Thus the saying 'One sows & another reaps' is true. I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others
have done the hard work, & you have reaped the benefits of their labour." (John 4:34)

Crosspower's Pearl Café Otara, South Auckland
Since February 2009, we have gone once a month, on a Saturday at 6pm, to provide
a nutritious meal & fellowship for families, in what was called the worst street in Otara for
trouble!,
Sully Paea, founder of Crosspower Ministry, opened a safe place for families to
come & play table tennis & do other fun activities. This street had a drug dealer who threatened Sully
with a gun & told him he was not wanted there! The dealer has been removed & jailed for an unrelated incident & it has become one of the quieter streets in Otara. Sully said "We bring light
into the dark places & darkness cannot stay."
Jesus First New Zealand not only brings a lavish hot meal with dessert & fruit, but friendship & outreach with the desire to see each & every person loved & brought into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord & Saviour.
